Nothing wrong with the classics pt 3. Very pleased with this—not too hot / roasted, deep red / purple plummy fruit, baking spice, dried herbs, animal hide, very slight green / peppercorn

Fully mature and in a great window. Loaded with whole cluster spice, white pepper, menthol, dried Provençal herbs, roasted plums, worn leather, fur, clove, cinnamon, spicecake. Classic “fresh” aspect Charvin always has, great traditional feel to is.

Nice bright tawny color. Herbal nose. Notes of herbs de Provence, raspberries, some moist earth and some rhubarb. Nicely balanced in the mouth. In a great drinking window.

I feel like there’s often a lot of Grenache shade being thrown these days and I’ll admit it’s usually not my jam (get it? Because it’s jammy) but this is really rather nice—sappy and ripe but not blowsy; warmth, red fruited purity and elegance predominate. Licorice and spice, herbal and leather notes emerge with air. Plenty of life ahead

A big nose that showed an uncanny freshness. Unfortunately I felt the palate had started to show signs of fatigue especially in the mid-palate. Somehow the finish managed to have a lingering and stable presence.

Nice garnet color. Mostly opaque. Fragrant nose. Notes of tart cranberry, herbs de Provence, earth, currants and some medicinal thing. Impactful in the mouth. Face is flush. Chewy, even with a few hours of air. Still gaining complexity. Great CdP expression.

Just beginning to show its grace rather than its power.

Great depth and excitement. The fruit was still alive and chewy. Wonderful secondary notes #chateauneufdupape #domainecharvin
