I love this. I haven’t *loved* a Southern Rhône in a while. These days, likely due to climate change, so many are blocky and clumsy. Not this one. Almost Burgundian. Succulent ripe fruit, sweet spice, crushed rocky gravel. The palate is exceptional, with depth and the transparency that we don’t seem to see anymore. Dark cherry, roasted herbs, a little iodine and crushed rock. Soft tannins and acids, but nice balance and length. I really like this.

Drinking with Mom, Dad, and Emily post train ride from Paris to Marseilles as we sit at a strange hotel. Nice CDR and was only 16 euros. Juicy red, smells of Syrah. Tastes juicy and red, smooth and yummy.
