Commanderie de Bordeaux. Theme was BBQ and 2010 vintage. Fantastic event. My contribution tonight. Wine maker described it perfectly... “burgundy in the middle of Bordeaux”. Extremely floral nose, no sulfites (family was too cheap to buy it a few generations ago and kept with the trend), 85% merlot 15% Cabernet. Extremely smooth. Can’t wait to see how this wine evolves.

Sublime. Never racked. No sulphur. As aromatic and med bodied as burgundy.

Sweet baby Jesus is this good. You smell it before you taste it. Dry smooth velvety.

GW tasting 9/28/16. Introduced in 1990. Ancestor who said no need for sulfur. Best plot right in front of house called the Rock. Nose that's complex with more prominent pepper notes. Wine doesn't go into fuder and direct into barrels. Texture and body richer and firmer structure and minerals and acids. Yummy.
