The nose reveals; pink grapefruit, tangerine, strawberries, watermelon near the rind, hints of rhubarb, blood orange, sea spray, mild volcanic minerals, chalk, light fruit roll-ups, fruit blossoms and pink roses. The body is thick, gluey and shows some frizzante. It’s fresh, lively and easy to drink. Especially, outstanding on a warm day. Candied fruit of; pink grapefruit, tangerine, strawberries, watermelon near the rind, hints of rhubarb & blood orange. Some white spice with a shade of heat, a herbal presence, sea spray, mild volcanic minerals, chalk, light fruit roll-ups, fruit blossoms and pink roses. The acidy is bright and near perfect. The finish is; rich, ripe, lush, balanced fruit & earth and is delicious. Shimmering orange-pink. High-pitched red currant, strawberry, orange zest and a bright mineral element on the incisive nose. Lithe and penetrating on the palate, offering intense red berry and citrus fruit flavors that pick up a sexy floral quality as the wine stretches out. Delivers a solid punch of flavor but comes off lithe, betraying no excess fat and finishing very long and precise, with a lingering suggestion of bitter citrus pith. Palate has ripe peach, juicy tangerine, ripe strawberry, lime pith, minor lemon juice and dried raspberry. Txakolina rosé tasting on the 2020 Summer Solstice, perfect for a hot/humid day in the Berkshires. Last bottle from our cellar.
