Classic. Bretts a friend here. Pristine red fruit, rose petals, tabacco, old leather, dried herbs. Silky tannins, long finish.

Decanted for about an hour. Typical Barolo aromas. Wonderful soft, smooth mouthfeel full of dark fruit. Nice, lasting finish.

The nose is classic Barolo, showing dusty cherry, spice, dried floral tones, leather and hints of undergrowth. On the palate, it displayed a feminine structure with pure red fruit and fresh acidity giving way to hints of licorice and spice through the close. Spice notes lingered along with hints of rosy florals.

Very young and barely approachable but with some air it starts to show what it might be: rose, menthol, black tea. red current and strawberry with a note of subtle licorice and even more subtle leather. The sweet red fruited nose is what I love most about Nebbiolo, even if it is accompanied by waves of drying tannins. Lovely potential. See you in 15 years.

Ok. Wow. Cherries, plum skin, oak for a hot second and quickly transitioning to licorice and tar. What you want from a Barolo! And drinks great after four hours in a decanter and carpal tunnel inducing swirling.

A gift from Vesna for the lend of a laptop. Not my favourite barolo. Cherries and leather were there up front but then seemed like a flat spot before the tannins kicked in. Something missing in the body department. Still would rather be drinking this than a lot of other things. Was terrific with carbonara tonight. It's just, you get your expectations up...
