Domaine de Souch Jurancon Sec Gros Manseng Petit Courbu 2012

$43.99

In the early 70s, Yvonne Hegoburu and her husband René fell in a love with a pile of rocks and the ruins of an old house at the top of the hill in the village of Laroin in Southwest France. After years of rebuilding this manse and enjoying life in this beautiful hillside retreat with his wife and child, René died. They had both dreamed of planting a vineyard on their 40 acres inside the demarcated zone for the unique Jurançon wines, but they never got around to it. In 1987, at 60 years old, Yvonne planted 6.5 hectares of Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng and Corbu vines to honor her husband.
