2014. Cranberry, cherry, green pepper notes. Fresh and great texture.

Tasting amazing. So many different trees from the forest. Cedar, pine, other woods, peppers, flowers, herbs, strawberries, cherry juice. Sensational. Very few stateside cab francs in this style.

Light, breezy Cab Franc. Good acidity, barely any tannins. Drinks like a Fleurie.

Solid road wine for $35. Great minerality, no green, tart acidic finish. Light. 11.9% alcohol. Only question is, paper or plastic?

Some pretty righteous domestic Cab Franc! As you can see from the pale ruby hue, it's a pretty light style with delicate extraction; between this light extraction yet being grown in warmer, sunny Santa Barbara, it's possibly the most Loire-like American Cabernet Franc I've had to date, although it's still evident this is from warmer climes. Moderate concentration of aromatics of ripe, juicy blackberry and raspberry, freshly cut green bell pepper, crushed graphite, dried herbs, and slightly dried violet floral tones. On the palate, there's more blackberry and strawberry albeit less ripe, dried herbs and fresh green bell pepper, and an extra dose of crushed graphite. Medium (+) acid, medium (-) body, low/medium (-) intensity chalky tannins. Refreshing at 11.9% alcohol. Takes nice to a bit of a chill for a bit of extra thirst-quenching power on these hot, sunny summer days. Great for any meat and summer veggies coming off your grill this summer.

Lean, green flavors, acidic. A bit too much of all that for me.

Clean, acidic bright, and refreshing for a red. Definitely whole cluster. Definitely not a typical California fruit bomb. That's a good thing in my opinion. Letting it open for a while helped.
