GUARANTEED BEST PROVENANCE: DIRECTLY IMPORTED FROM ITALY BY AIR The 2004 Sagrantino 25 Anni from Caprai is a stunning expression of Marco Caprai's finest winemaking. Made from a hand selection of the property's best Sagrantino grapes and aged for 24 months in small French oak barrels, the wine explodes on the palate with rich dark red fruits, firm tannins and a mineral earthiness that only the Umbrian hills around Montefalco can create.

I have a long running love affair with this wine, especially the ‘04. Bottle was in fine form and great for impressing a colleague. Fantastic with venison medallions.

This wine was kind of a big deal. A personal favorite of mine that never disappoints. Deep dark fruit—it looks like earl grey tea in the glass. Very extracted with a brooding character and so much rich fruit consistency. The essence of this wine always brings to mind the Vega Sicilia Unico for me. Exquisite depth.

One of the best wines tried all week in Umbria. Earthier and with grainier tannins than the Milziade Antano.
