Lewis Chester
1990 vintage. Heavily coffee'd, anise, herbie, hints of violets. This wine is oxidised to a greater degree than expected and thus faulty. On the palate, better than the nose. Good concentration, high acidity and smooth integrated tannins. Texture is silky and smooth. Finish is light and fairly long. Chocolate and coffee notes to the fore, no obvious fruit. Shame about the oxidation.
