Super cool wine. I loved it. Doesn’t taste like Napa cab and the wine maker says it is what Napa Cabs tasted like in the 70s. It’s only 13.4% and comes in those old school flat bottom green bordeaux bottles with a killer label. Lots of green pepper backed by blueberry candy on the nose. Very pretty, blue fruit. The palate is roller coaster, starting with herbaceous notes transferring into blueberry finishing LONG with peppermint and anise.

Modern interpretation of classic Napa. Savory, full-fruited, excellent tannin--so proud of the 2nd vintage!

Pretty and lovely CS that really speaks old world in style. A great reminder of how 2011 in the right hands can be so expressive and perfumed. Nose is brambly, savory, minty, and an earthy backdrop gives a nice layer. Palate is a balance of those brambly fruits, leather, brown spices, menthol, juniper, dusty tannins. There almost seems to be a little VA hint that offers a lift to the wine. Very refreshing to taste Napa Cabs with this much acid and freshness.

Needs more structure, easy drinking but simple.

Take a great winemaker, a challenging vintage and add a new grape and you get an interesting, value Napa Cab. It’s not going to blow your mind but it definitely won’t blow the budget. Great value and fun to drink. I will support anything Turley does.
