The first 2015 St. Innocent I’ve tasted yet and it is outstanding as always. This young Pinot Noir from Eola-Amity is showing lots of dark berry and savory spice character while the tannins are typically present. Vanilla, licorice, black raspberry and sweet floral notes also emerging, and with more aeration there is an unmistakable umami impression of soy sauce, gravel and potting soil. A most cellar-worthy wine at a cool 13.5% ABV that is just beginning to reveal its complexity.

Really nice Pinot noir. Bold and structured for a Pinot. Leather and blueberry.
