I’ve saved a couple of bottles to see how these wines, so delicious in their youth, age. In this case, beautifully, the strawberry and prickly pear jam flavors tinged now with dried sage and other herbal notes and a touch of dusty road. Great acidity and freshness remain in force with barely perceptible tannins.

After some funk on the nose, the acidic palate gives way to slightly sweet fruit and some sour umami on the back end. As is expected with trousseau, it's super pale in color and light in the taste, yet powerful flavors more reminiscent of a California Pinot.

bright red fruit initially on the nose indicates the CA-ness. Mineral notes Develops as it opens. Light weight, lots of complexity of flavor. Medium + acid, medium tannins, ripe cherries. Long lasting on flavor. nice.
