Moving on to a Rhys for our Thanksgiving lineup. Popped the cork this morning and it seems to have really helped this along today. A nose of Sandalwood, cherries, spice...so nice. Very well balanced in acid/red fruit with a little herbal note. Maybe a slight tannic frame. Glad to have several more of these cuz I think a few more years of age and look out.

Pleasant nose definitely enhances the experience of this one. A bit of a dark red fruited and stemmy showing. Doesn’t quite deliver on the QPR but enjoyable nonetheless.

White rose petal and green stems on the bouquet. Seems like this could have been whole cluster fermentation. Sweet red fruits, strawberry jam, nice pure finish. Modern style done right. This bottle, 2 bottles Sandlands, a rose' and a Dirty and Rowdy white blend all provided by fan favorite @Steve Anderson at Lamb Fest hosted by @Dan Blackwell the hobbling host with the most. Nice way to kick off summer.

Rhys Horseshoe Pinot. Light on it's feet but complex. A beautiful expression of terroir.

Ruby color. Aromas of sweet black bramble fruits are tinged with something earthy like iron, green like thyme, and spicy and sweet like a pomander. The palate is sweet, too, with baking spices and red cherry fruits. The wine is lovely and very forward, very ripe and abundant, but it's simple, too, almost plain. 13.3% abv | $69

No Brett. Very nice bottle. Love the team at Rhys, Kevin and Jeff are doing great things. Santa Cruz Mountains deserves more Pinot attention.

Enough’s been said about the notes so I’ll simply affirm this 10 year old wine is drinking fantastically!

Still youthful, pronounced raspberry, dark earth, balanced acidity. Happy B-Day to my Bride....

Really lovely, classic lines, friendly as all get out, good with food. Is everyone happy? Yes, they are!
