Good amount of sediment coating glass. Cherry note shines through, amazing.

Fantastic example of why I love wine. 16 years, Beautiful and amazing cherry from Syrah balanced by dark tannin notes of Cabernet. Bravo! Could use a lil Mourvedre, but thats just me :) Healthy amount of sediment on glass.

With an intense nose and palate, this wine is a fascinating blend of Cabernet and Syrah, and it shows it: blackberry and eucalyptus from the cab, white pepper and overt ripe dark cherry from the Syrah, plus a granite-y minerality that defines this as old world in style. With a medium plus body, super integrated alcohol, some tannins that are still chalky, and plenty of zippy acidity, somehow this wine flirts with both richness and refreshment. Solidly in its drinking window, I'm curious to see how it evolves for 5-10 years.

Drinking really well, old world style cab/syrah blend. Red currant, dark berries, eucalyptus, mineral. Not endlessly complex or long but damn tasty.
