Vintage 2011 | stinky smell, high bitters, flint, tight and stiff. I like the character. Need to taste more Rioja whites to be able to recognize if tasted blind.

A pleasant Fino without all the drama and extra weight. Can you handle the Truth?

Would like to spend more time with one of these. Many Riesling use cases fly through the mind. Lees in clear focus.

Puckery goodness. Super dry but sour and mineraly meat on the bones. Aged perfectly. Let it warm up a bit.

A delicious almond, mushroom, saline complexity from one of the great white wines of Rioja. There’s some special depth to this wine.

Hazelnuts and walnuts. Some butter. Whipped lemon curd. Beeswax and a little floral. So complex, so lovely, so enamored

first time trying aged white rioja, has been on my list. this one has 9 years of age. rich butterscotch in color, notes of caramel, butterscotch, honey, dried fruits (apricot), dried white flowers on the palate. interesting but not all that delicious by itself, but really comes alive paired with food (breaded chicken). really happy to finally try this one, interested to see what happens on day 2
