The 2007 vintage was one of the longest at 24 days from wo to go with the grapes being consistent throughout. Full exuberant fruit with rustic tannins This is from the Ovello vineyard.

Initial nose of vitamins & iron. Intense strawberries on the palate with follow through of iron and minerals. Tannins not aggressive and wine is primary but open. Really enjoying the wine.

A not unpleasant menthol smell that burns off to cherry and leather. Still seems a little young

Not sure if this was flawed or just in a bad spot in its life. Medicinal cherry cough syrup. Not improved with time in decanter. Should try another bottle

2007, Produttori del Barbaresco, Ovello Riserva Nebbiolo, Barbaresco. I guess I was expecting more. Good not great. May have drunk too young. Dark fruit dominant and still a little tannic. Lots of secondary savory flavors.
