Dark cherry, "sweet" dirt, black raisin, dried mushroom, dried jerky, hoisin. Admittedly, the flavors were all over the place, but regardless a very complex wine where the primary fruit flavors are evolving into secondary and tertiary ones.

Lovely old nebbiolo. All leather and tea and earth, a whisper of dried cherries and roses from years past. Compelling with mushroom ravioli in sage brown butter. A touch of Brett adds interest at first, then takes over by the time I return to the last glass hours later.

Amazing wine especially with food cuts right through any fat, sexy, tannins long finish bright fruit, light and traditional not bad for 48 years old at the drinking time

Beautiful dark rubi robe, nose of asian spices, licorice, crushed flowers and leather. Fresh, medium bodied and spicy in the mouth, with good length and amazingly good for a 46 year old. Great stuff and no rush to drink.

Birth year bottle. Not the best I’ve had but pretty damn good.

Aging beautifully, classic Piedmont.

What a wine. 42 years young. Still powerful and super complex. Great acidity and focus, and the tannins aren't even fully resolved. Black licorice candy, tar and roses.

1975. Difficult to judge given the age of the bottle, but quite decent. Would drink again, but newer vintage would be preferable...
