Lovely balance between bottle development and fruit. Nice perfume.

Fascinating to drink next to its Azelia vintage vineyard-mate, the Scavino was shy on the nose even after an hour. Some tar, sour cherry came through, and preceded a deeply powerful core of black tea, loamy dark cherry and Grand Cru Burgundy essence of vinous power. 45 second length, not a hard edge to be found...this may last years but can’t imagine how it will improve. Phenomenal.

Dark scarlet. Almost opaque. Nice nose of bright fruit, roses, tea and a little black tar. Still young and vibrant in the mouth. Primary. More structure than fruit. Good finish. Try again in 5 years.

After all the traditional and aged Barolo this week, this just isn't doing anything for me.

Heavy licorice, tobacco, and cherry. Not as well balanced as I’d like.

In a great drinking window. Cherries, orange peel, anise, coffee, and flowers. Very nice structure.
