MSix Wines Brick & Mortar La Perla Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014

Staining dark plum color with mild cherry accents. The nose is subtle and a bit graceful with notes of dried black cherries, pomegranate, charred oak, herbs, and roses. No one would call this Burgundian but with a Pinot this good, you don’t need to. Distinctly Californian with outrageously good mountain fruit from Spring Mountain. Showcasing the more elegant and refined side of CA Pinot, this isn’t a bruiser or yet another PN masquerading as Syrah. At just 13.0, you can sip this all day. On the palate, dusty earth, dried herbs, understated red and blue fruits, citrus, and tea. Oak on the medium to long finish. This is about as pure and delicious as can be.
