What a treat! Red fruited and earthy. Elegant. Good concentration. Unfortunately, as with most red Burgundy at the 1er and Grand Cru level, difficult to justify the cost. On this evening, it was worth it though.

This wine is a big boy and still really young. At first it was a bit closed but over several hour all of a sudden popped open with all sorts of layers. Mouth-filling cherry opened to darker berry and black plum with touch of cola and wonderful spice and hints of floral...good hint of cardamom hit me at the table....really broad and voluptuous wine that has some years to go yet to really show what it's got....fantastic wine.
