A very nice, fruit forward, Pinot Noir from Oregon. Showing black and red fruits with earth, chocolates, tobacco, spices, peppercorn and red candy. Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity. Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up (30 minutes). A good food wine and very enjoyable as a sipping wine by the porch. I paired it with cheeses, nuts and olives. 13% alcohol by volume. 90 points.

Tonight's wine I have opened to toast the birthday of a close friend of mine from Maryland. We both have come to appreciate the finer points of the Willamette Valley Pinot Noir and their burgundian qualities. The wine I have opened is the Organic Biodynamic 2015 Kelley Fox Ahurani Pinot Noir from McMinnville, Oregon. Dom, I raise my glass to you this evening on your birthday and wish you the best with many more in your future. Nostrovia my friend! On the nose there is fresh red fruit, ripe strawberries, cranberry, cherry, spice, mint, clove and a hint of dusty soil. On the palate I find the same red fruits, fresh strawberries, cranberry, cherry, a spicy note and a nice clove accent. This wine is medium bodied, well balanced and easily accessible with medium+ acidity and medium to + firm fine tannins that lead right into a long well integrated finish. Let's all stay safe and begin this holiday weekend on a good note. Nostrovia!

Layered dark fruits and a mineral driven finish. All Momtazi fruit, terrific Oregon Pinot Noir Demeter certified from a biodynamic vineyard.

Aromas and flavors of dark cherries, cranberry and pomegranate. Hints of leather, violets, cola and dark chocolate. Earthy. Pleasant bitterness on the finish. Beautiful texture. A bit “Beaujolais-like.” Well crafted.

Nose of pomegranates all day...maybe some earth dusting too. Still quite tannic with a sharp acidity. Some chalky dirt and more tart red fruit on the pallet. It needs some more time in the bottle, but still quite tasty.

Night cap so I tried a bottle. Surprisingly subtle yet drinking nicely.
