Black, moldy cork. Something went wrong during this wine's life because it's not what you'd expect from an eight year old Foreau Demi Sec.

Light golden in colour. Oystershell, wool, pine nuts and steely minerality on the nose. Interestingly this minerality showes more saline, briny on the palate. Lovely balance in gentle sweetness and soft acidity. Although it could use some extra depth, length and complexity, I was very happy with a few glasses of this lovely, elegant, off-dry Chenin.

First bottle was prem-oxed. Second was better. Light apple, cardamom, and some acidity with a bit of sweetness. Quite nice with our pre dinner Burrata, but on its own there is a heaviness I don't love.
