Conrad Green
Soft fruit, tobacco, tar. Some licorice and vegetal notes. Very pure and quite intense. In good shape but not a heartbreaking bottle. Good stuff given its age.

A lovely nose- full with plums, sour cherry, leather, tobacco, dried citrus, violet. Very clear and bright with fading edges. Great concentration of fruit for a 60 year old wine. Very pretty. Astonishing, with great structure and length.

That about counts as the oldest Barolo I have had...plenty of life and energy in this one...forest floor, dried red fruits, to accomplish, dried flowers, leather and spice...the beauty was the silky, completely resolved but present tannin...amazing experience.

Interesting to taste these with such age on them. Definitely past it’s peak and on the downward slope but it was enjoyable nonetheless! This is a 1958 Barolo
