Fresh & sappy with intense freshly crushed ripe mulberries & blackberries, a nice note of graphite and a stony backbone + a whiff of dry aged beef. On the palate this is juicy, fresh, bursting with energy. Authentic & w/o any makeup. Fresh, tart black fruit, spicy & crunchy yet juicy tannins, vibrant acidity. This has nice tension, a sense of place, and is dangerously drinkable! I barely started and the bottle is already half empty! Not for the first time I’m struck between the similarities between Baga and Blaufränkisch from Burgenland.
