Delicate light brick color, slightly viscous; concentrated deep nose of ripe and dried red cherries, strawberries, and mulberries and fennel, herbs, and madelaine cookies; medium dry mouthfeel, small fine tannins, opulent, mature, with medium-high acids and alcohol, and long finish. I don’t know when these will peak, but not yet, for sure.

Had next to the Col d’Orcia; the latter knocked the socks off of this one. However it showed reasonably well but lacked punch, tertiary flavors, and somewhat in acids and tannins.

Vintage 2010 / smell seems rather old... rondeur, high acidity, earthy taste

Takes its name from the free-spirited gentleman named Bruscone who lived in the woods of the Barbi Estate. Brilliant Ruby with aromas of wild berry fruits and sweet herb notes. On the palate cherry, plum and dried fruits with tobacco and cola notes, well balanced on firm tannins tightly wound, oak notes; decant. Lingering finish ending with mineral and earthy notes. Let this age a few more years.

closed. Ruby with orange rim. Restraint intensity of aromas but not flabby. dry, mid acidity (well balanced), vervety. Already the window is open, just a matter of timing. Abv14.5%

Ripe and over worked. To me lacked the soul and character that makes Brunello so great, little varietal character or sense of place

Nice example. Big acid and tons of red plum fruit. Elegant and nice. Drank too early!

Closed for business, elegant and restrained, reticent even this is like Burgundy meets Brunello. Still great, the potential is there for even more greatness.

Deceptively elegant for its age, round and graceful, with some heft at the same time, smooth as silk on the finish...lovely
