Deep violet. Powerful, smoke-accented dark berries, licorice and pungent flowers on the mineral-inflected nose. Chewy black and blue fruit and candied violet flavors take on a spicy aspect as the wine opens up. In a generous yet still lively style, with solid finishing thrust and dusty tannins framing a long, dark-fruit-dominated finish. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, April 2020)

Blue fruits, floral, and mineral, with just a hint of smoked meat. Not quite complex but energetic and a joy to drink

Fruitier than I remember from previous vintages. The savory notes blossomed on night two.

Fresh & savoury with ripe, juicy black fruit, a hint of vanilla, a whiff of black olives and a savoury leathery note. On the palate this has proper grip with juicy tannins, pure ripe fruit, nicely balanced & highly drinkable. This is really fresh & juicy. Brilliant with food.
