Moderate pigment, purple-red, very good clarity. Tutti frutti nose initially, earthy later. Cherry-berry flavors with some length, slightly alcoholic bitterness initially in finish. Moderate skin astringency with a tactile, slightly acidic spritz in finish; later, chewy tannins and a slate flavor emerge. Minty tart blueberry aftertaste.
