This has held its age well. Subtle fruit, good tannin structure. It only needs about 20-30 mins in the decanter. A lot of tertiary flavors, mushroom, forest floor, earthy. Great experience!

Past prime but still pleasant and structured. Tannin gone but some ripe red fruit.

A little over the hill, but powerful with notes of cherry and leather. After decanting an hour you got a glimpse of what this wine was. Beautiful experience drinking a bit of history.

1983 vintage. Wasn't sure what to expect and was thoroughly surprised and taken with how well this was drinking. Aromas of mushroom and graphite. Plenty of fruit still here with good tannic grip. Held up in the glass to the last drop!
