Opened briefly - then closed down hard. Some clovey Brett nuances over a ripe plum-and-cassis nose. Still somewhat primary but no noticeable oak taint. Needs a decade to come around

Mature with some elegance, a great vintage for Pontet Canet maybe over shadowed by some other vintages such as 2000 and 2005- but a wine definitely worth it - ripe and pure, a success with a cote de boeuf
