Some nice age on this wine, but still packing lunch with the fruit. Dark plum on the eye, medium viscosity, lots of sediment. Nose sees fragrant oaky, crushed blackberries, tart, over ripe cherries. Palette sees medium acid, smooth tannins, wet oak, tobacco, little bit of fruit. This wine got better on day two, I think it’s drinking great right now- you get the aged notes but also plenty of fruit to go around.

Probably a little past its peak - while the tannins were softened and silky, the fruit flavors had become a bit muted

Really nice wine but maybe a little past its prime. Nice nose, well integrated, delicious!

Medium garnet. Wet leaves, not a lot of fruit, stone, red brick wall, pickles. Medium minus acidity, medium plus sugar. Probably over its peak.
