I felt like this was best right after I opened it and then it got kind of “eh” after a few hours. Not bad but I don’t think it needs to be decanted.

Nose: Dark plums and licorice, souis bois, damp earth. Palate: loads of merlot silliness, resolved tannins. Was open for 1 1/2 hrs prior. No decant. Med bodied. Decent finish, enough acidity to keep it fresh.

Merlot/mineral-driven. 3 hr decant, a bit youthful but still enjoyable. Violet, lavender, tannins/acid clicking together in concert. Lovely finish. Drink/hold for 5-10 years.
