Chateau’s Second Cru Classe in 1855, located in Barsac in the Sauternes appellation, has been in the Dubourdieu family since 1924. Big bouquet of ripe sweet stone fruits and citrus floral scents. On the palate peach and honey flavors adding in some sweet orange citrus showing off the "noble rot" fruit. Lingering finish ending with sweet mineral character. Very Nice! Tasting Sample!

2011, Chateau Doisy Daene, Barsac, Semillon Sauvignon Blanc. Candied tangerine, honey, apricot and excellent acidity. Too bad it was only a half bottle. Drank over 5 days and it kept getting better, more complex.

Gold and bright color, dry white fruit, floral and spicy. Great balance of sweetness and acidity, long after taste. This wine can put up even with tart and bitter chocolate desserts without problem. One of the great dessert wines of the world.
