Had it March 2009. It took half an hour to say something, Before it was only a black olive pate smell, after very sour cherry and ribes, iron , forest floor, rose petals, lipstick, red flowers, very flowery. Fantastic mouth, full but driven by the freshness, outstanding silky tannin, super long!!! What a 2000. Ready now, but don't be scare to cellar it for more than a decade.

2000 vintage. Balsamic and tar nose. 2000 vintage. Balsam and tar nose. Persimmon fruit. Restrained for this warm vintage. Medium bodied. Builds to a great finish. $240 on the list in Kirkland, WA. Are you fucking kidding me?

VA is pronounced. Side by side with Giacosa 00 Barbaresco. Modern in intensity but not extract. This wine will outlive many but still not loving this entirely.

Drinking lovely already. Very indicative of the vintage. Going to become even more of a superstar in years to come!

Think I love the long finish the most with these wines, just lingers. Soft tannins with floral notes -rose- tobacco. This wine wasn’t as intense as I hoped but still beautiful.

Lots of red fruits, tar, balsamic, licorice, very floral, elegant, a wine of finesse.
