Birichino Saint Georges Pinot Noir 2015

Bluish ruby and terribly hazy (likely from the lack of filtration); rich plum and strawberry nose with some neutral oak, pepper and thyme; red fruits and herbs dominate the palate and it ends with a powerful spicy anis-liquorice. The cloudy/hazy apperance and rough taste are significant turn-offs.

Soft French style with more fruit. Not sure what to make of the sour flavor, but it definitely grew on me. Easy drinking and preferred by Ash and Katie "I'd give it 3 stars"

Lighter, aromatic, feminine. Great value Pinot.

@David T Opportunistically making my way through the Birichino lineup per your recommendation! This was delicate and lovely, pale garnet with wild strawberry and wet leaf aromas with gulpable red fruit. Now to try the Grenache.

Outstanding - you really forget it's a central coast Pinot
