I like the drinkability, but we can't talk about a refined wine here.

60/40 Nera d’Avola/Frappato. Bright ruby, moderate minus concentration. Juicy red and black cherry, cassis, licorice, black pepper, plum, and raspberry. No oak influence. Elevated acidity and moderate tannins.

70% Frappato/30% Nero d'Avola. Terrific bright-ish red blend with more heft than the 100% Frappato.

Paired well with spice, salt, and a bit of smoke. Sipped with small bites that included spicy hummus, tabouleh, olives, pickled vegetables, and smoked gouda.

Just about the right amount of age. No purple colour that tells of a premature wine. Yet no sub vegetation that is typical of mature wines. It has enough acidity and tannin to last several years, but I think this state captures the energy in the best way.

Another outstanding vintage of this Sicilian blend. (Nero d’Avola and Frappato). Aromas and flavors of Black fruit, raspberries, dried cherries, asphalt and black licorice. Touch of herbs on the nose as well. Bright and well contrived. Hint of sweet cherries, herbs and smoke on the chewy finish.

Great entry level from Arianna. Frappago and Nero d’Avola, still youthful, but incredibly perfumed and elegant. Lots of ripe fruit, with in fact great tannic structure (after decanting) but still really fresh and only 12.5% abv. Floral, raspberry and liquorice

Excellent entry level from this natural wine producer. This vintage is very fruity and rich in aromas going from fresh red cherries and raspberries to intense blackcurrant and blackberries, with a spicy little touch. Excellent drinkability with a good nerve, very soft texture and a savoury finish. Healthy ripe grapes and warm southern mediterranean wind. A wine to enjoy young, fresh and easy, it paired well with veal skewers with mustard sauce and sautés veggies.
