The oldest wine of the day, but from a very ripe vintage. Still showing rich fruit and density. Delicate finish.

A delicious old pal. From 3L. Solid but not overly dense, with pure red/black fruit. As Eisele should be. Thanks to friends for a lovely Easter and for sharing such special wines..

The 1994 Araujo Eisele is showing beautifully with plenty of fruit and structure. On the nose there is almost a Barolo-like dark cherry mix of spice and tar, floral notes and earth. On the palate, the fruit comes out in a mix of spices and dark wood, elegantly balanced with a beautiful long finish. Did I mention that I love this wine? A Napa classic that compares favorably with top-growth Bordeaux.
