Stunning Altopiemonte wine! On the nose: blood orange, caramelized brown sugar, roses, a touch of tar, a hint of glossy VA that morphs into herbs, esp. mint. On the palate, excellent acidity, Rainier cherry, blood orange, mint, great density. On the finish: juicy, and builds to a suprisingly dense finish with a touch of grapefruit.
