This is very fresh, focused and complex even if it's still so obviously young. The grapes were harvested extremely early, 17 days earlier than their first vintage (2010) even considering the year was cooler and later ripening. Chilean Pinot from an Alsatian winemaker is I believe the story here. Loads of body, ripe raspberry and sour cherry fruit whole cluster fruit, a bit of eucalyptus and smoke, rich but lively. Touch of heat. Could easily pass for Sonoma.
