Dom Pérignon Brut Champagne Blend 2009

$169.99$159.99

The icon of the house, the 2009 Vintage Dom Pérignon showcases perfect equilibrium, revealing the harmony that is so characteristic of this house. It is exotic, complete, rhythmic and tactile. (97JS, 96WS, 94+VM) - "This is a DP that shows the ripeness of the 2009 vintage yet remains full of energy. Gorgeous aromas of cream, apple, mango, honeysuckle, and chalk follow through to a full body and super fine, tight texture. Dense and agile. Vinous. It’s like a top grand cru white Burgundy. Think Batard-Montrachet. More depth than the 2006. Drink now." - jamessuckling.com

I imagine this will go up by a point or two in the next few years but it’s crazy young. That being said, it’s quite easy to sip. Creamy on the front palate...bubbles are so tiny it’s hard to pick them out. Toasted brioche, limestone, honeyed cashews show once this has had an hour+ to open. Dom always has such a nice mid-palate of candied fruit and toasted honeycomb. Give it time!

Absolutely delicious. Not super complex, but very easy to drink and enjoy, even at this very early stage. A terrific bottle of the 2009.

What a tremendous disappointment this was. Zippy, bouncy bubbles culminating in a flat palate. This wine should be so.much better for.the notoriety, name and vintage.

Almonds, mousse, subtle guava fruits, wrapped in a yeasty aroma. Bright green apple fruit, with persistent acidity on the mid-palate. Finish lingers with soft, smooth texture. Paired with doughnut holes from Bosa doughnuts.

Tart apple with floral notes. Perfect pairing with Thai cuisine. Best champagne I've had.
