For seven generations, Château Paveil de Luze has been renowned for their incredibly well-crafted Margaux, but in 2005 the family purchased a vineyard just outside the Margaux AOP boundaries. It is from this impeccable vineyard that they produce Petit Paveil Bordeaux, a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. At this level, most winemakers skimp on the use of oak, but Petit Paveil uses pulls out all the stops, using all French oak, 20% of which is new. What results is a wine that is rich and generous and punches way above its class. It is a classic Bordeaux for immediate drinking pleasure!
