Blackberries, cherries and a ferrous quality. Mocha and banking spice on the finish. Grippy tannins, one that will age. What I like about Pepper Bridge is that they make a limited lineup of wines - all Bordeaux varietals - and they do it really well. Unusually for Walla Walla, the wines are all from estate fruit. The founder was one of the early growers in the region. Originally he grew apples, but soon noticed that grapes grow rather well too.
