Sipping Fine Wine
Blend of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha and 5% Graciano, aged in oak for 20 months, deep Ruby with an elegant bouquet of berry fruits, cigar bo spice with earthy tones, a traditional Rioja. On the palate, the wine was silky smooth, elegant with layers of flavors, blackberry and sour cherry, tobacco, smoky cedar, vanilla spice, very well balanced with fine soft chewy tannins resembling a Nebbiolo, clean structure ending with a nice long chalky earthy character.

No American oak! Full, resolved. Threw a lot of sediment.

Light oak, cherry, firm tannins and acid. Forest murmurs with mushroom and hints of baking spices and tobacco. Small hints of cinnamon and nutmeg that opens up to vanilla 14.5%

The oak was too much right now. Came off really funky in a bad way.

Cocoa powder, thyme, dried cherries. Rich and herbaceous. Not syrupy; light bodied and incredibly complex.

A local wine store buy. It was sitting on the shelf, waiting to be adopted. Still a dark ruby to the rim. Cherry tobacco with subsiding vanilla on both the nose and palate. Other stewed red fruits with baking spices offers a whiff of cherry pie. Medium plus alcohol and body. Medium acidity. Tannins are still firm. With leather starting to peek its head out, I think this could be held for a few more years. 92+ points
