Pop and pour. Nice dark color. NOSE: nice. Deep cherry (the good kind, not the cheap wine kind). Graphite. Smooth baking spice. A whisper of cassis. Oak. Pomegranate. Some root vegetable. TASTE: black pepper, paprika, black cherry. Medium weight. Silky BBQ! Beeswax finish, some calendula. Tannins leave the impression of bitter leaves, like oversteeped green tea. Interesting…I like this. Simple, plus a touch of the exotic. Should go well with the Middle Eastern dinner that is planned. 90.

50% Cinsault, 30% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Tart. Nice flavors. Needed food. Should hold for several more years.

I have invested a good deal in Musar having only tasted the whites. My first time with the red entry blend has me excited to continue this Musar journey - terrific for it's money, it has soul and character. Spicy blackberry, saddle leather, chocolate. Its meaty and bloody, with lots of chewy tannin.

2018-nice nose, light finish. Somewhat acidic. Very drinkable and good for the price.

Blackberry/black cherry/black currant, strong black pepper, black tea notes, and green flavors on the palate; acidity present with tannin rinsing the palate but also lingers a bit; Interesting rec from Mark at BGarden; $13 or so, wine from Lebanon.

A little tight, but still some big fruit presence. Plums, sour cherry. Medium finish.

Plum, cherry, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom notes with hints of cedar, bubblegum, kids bubble bath soap on the nose. Strong notes of black pepper emerge after decanting a while. Medium-light body with tough tannins, tart cherry, raspberry, and red currant with notes of vanilla extract, cinnamon stick, and hints of gingerbread and almond extract on the palate. Unique and interesting tasting experience. Would buy again.
