Dark ruby in color with a light ruby rim. Fruity nose with blackberries, blueberries, oak, black currants, sweet cherries, licorice, spices, vanilla, chocolates, earth, mocha, and black pepper. Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs. Dry on the palate with blackberries, sweet plums, cherries, raspberries, vanilla, cedar, coffee, chocolates, earth, licorice, spices and peppercorn. Nice length on the finish with round tannins and tangy cranberries. This California Cabernet always delivers a nice mouthfeel. well-balanced with mild complexity. Needs 30 minutes to open up and show some tannins. Enjoyable by itself or with foods like BBQ steak. This would be a good wine for parties or just to sip on all by itself. Aged for 12 months in Oak barrels. 13.5% alcohol by volume.
