Very good with chickpea chicken stew (Greek cookbook). Also good alone.

Sour red fruit, lake water, on the nose. Sour cherry on the palate. Acidic.

Deep ruby with an orange rim. Medium plus body, smooth tannins, medium acid, medium alcohol. Dry but fruity. Bright red fruit - cherry - and raspberry. Cocoa on the nose.

Tried this again at a Malbec blind tasting. Black cherry color. Also a lot of black cherry and cherry cola stuff on the nose and in the mouth. Nice fruit flavors even after all the aging. Some smoke too. It’s actually aged beautifully and I think was at a peak. Nice stuff.

Sort of sour. Drink with food - don’t drink solo.

Lighter Malbec than what I am used to; makes it feel more drinkable than a standalone glass

Deep purple, ‘smoke on the water’ color. Smells berry-liciious and gravelly. Flavors are less dynamic than the nose, but pretty interesting and pleasing. Some tar. Some pepper. Some tobacco. And ripe black Bing cherries. Just the slightest hint of that grape kool aide element that dominates the cheap Argentine stuff. It’s intriguing wine if a bit New World style with the fruitiness and hint of oak in there. I’m still trying to sort out this Malbec thing. I like this one more than most cheapies I’ve had, but not as much as the other WA one I tried a few years ago. Keep it coming WA. I think you and Malbec have a future.
