Concentrated raspberry ruby color, bright. Beautiful nose between ripe red fruits, (ceries, raspberry, strawberry), vanilla, cloves, mushroom, light smoked. In the mouth, it is crunchy, and slightly spicy, dry and half-light, in balance. The markers of minerality remain quite discreet, it does not unfold a great relief. Missing a slight kick of freshness to take off (vintage effect?). Nevertheless: beautiful purity and correct finish.

This Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is drinking well after aging for the past ~5 years. Begins with exceedingly earthy aromas of forest floor, mushroom & notes of dried cherry. Once allowed to decant (1+ hour) the fruit becomes more apparent on the nose & the palate wirh cherry & pomegranate flavors along with some surprisingly grippy tannins & a cola note on a relatively quick finish. Paired wonderfully with a charcuterie & cheese board! ($16) [7/29/21]
