Wild berry, cherry compote, earth, little pepper spice, rhubarb pie, medium tannins, slate mouthfeel, crushed rocks on the finish and nice acid. Great ribeye wine.

Nice CDR, but really nice because we are sharing the bottle with family in Paris.

Screw top, drop top. Half of the bottle was consumed on the first day while the remaining half was finished three days later. On day one, it was super fresh and racy...almost reminded me of cru Beaujolais. By day three, it had gained weight and complexity. Blue and red fruits, some garrigue and meat. Fresh berries and minerals on the palate. Lacking uniqueness but this was so much better after it got some air. 2015 was a very flattering vintage for the Southern Rhône and I suspect that will prove true through most of Europe. Drink after a long decant or over the next five years.

A little too minerally to rate higher. Bill McCleary, Surdyk’s: "Minerally undercurrent, with blackberry and red currant followed by tar and floral notes. Well-structured finish. Chapoutier uses biodynamic farming to grow his grapes. This is an excellent example of a southern Rhone red with Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre blended to a tasty finish. Soft on tannin with no harsh finish. A spiciness that layers over the fruit."

Disapponting short finish, and plain nose/palate, probably vintage related. 2013 vintage.

Underbrush, pepper, sage, touch of lavender and wrinkled blueberries. Some acid, but rather big structure in mid palate, with a very long finish. Some subtle sweet oak notes to go along with it. Nice.
