Dark fruit. Full and balanced without the bite. I recommend double-decanting this one if you don't have an hour to let it breathe.

Josh wines are really growing on me - great price point for giving it a go , well rewarded with subtle spice , not overly jammy , just a little oaky

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim. Fruity nose of plums, strawberries, oak, licorice, spices, coffee, cola, pencil lead, aluminum and black pepper. Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs. Dry and very fruity on the palate with plums, strawberries, currants, vanilla, licorice, cloves, bitter herbs, spices, green vegetables and black pepper. Medium finish with soft tannins and tart raspberries. This California Cabernet is simple and not very balanced, but better with food. Soft mouthfeel without enough structure, and a little bitter on the ending. On the lower side of an average red wine, but not offensive either. Probably past its peak, or maybe it wasn't stored correctly. 13.5% alcohol by volume.
