Perfect social wine for everyone except for my father who is a wine snob. Light and sweet enough for the non-regular red wine drinkers but rich enough for those who want a medium-bodied red that doesn't have a specific pairing and can be consumed by itself. From the first inhale of the delicious scent to the buttery finish, I am a fan.

Dark ruby in color with a short purplish rim. Fruity on the nose with blackberries, blueberries, sweet plums, light oak, chocolates, vanilla, licorice, spices, cloves, peppercorn. Full-bodied with medium acidity and nice legs. Dry to off dry on the palate with sweet cherries, black plums, blackberries, raisins, spices, wood, vanilla, cloves, mocha, chocolates and peppercorn. Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries. This red blend from California is drinking nicely. Simple and drinkable by itself. Not very sophisticated, but always a favorite in a party scenario. Ripe and jammy. Might be sweet for some. A blend of Zinfandel, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. 13.5% alcohol by volume. 83 points. $9.

I know everyone raves about this, but it was too sweet to accompany a meal. It's a good wine if you don't really like wine very much and want something sweet. For us, though, it's probably not something we'd buy again. Tastes of blackberry jam and roasted chestnuts.
