Color of bubbly dark purple, yet quite clear. Nose of milky chocolate, fermented prune, strawberry syrup, a bit fermented cabbage, and a bit gin powder indeed. Taste follows the nose with addition of good quality acidity, dark fruits, ripe grapes, some zest, and low on tannins. Aftertaste shows some more bittersweet note and more ripe grapes. On par.

First thing it smells great, robust. It's full body, red wine of course. On the eyes the density is bright so, it's not high on acidity. It's a little sweet, not to dry. A bit fruity. Low on the tannin in taste.

Hard at work...this is fleshy and ripe but has a hit of green. Wonder if they gave it a tad of stem inclusion. Ripe and dried red fruit—something pruney going on. Not my favorite but I never get Malbec in blind tastings so attempting to learn. This is just a big mouthful of dried fruit served in a woodshop. Gives me flashbacks to when my granddaddy once made wine and the adults were trying it (I was maybe seven) and my uncle snuck to pour his out in the big sink in the garage near where granddaddy kept his woodworking stuff. The uncle turned out to be a ass so I’ve no idea if the wine was good but I drink this and...The smell of wood and wine...

Well rounded. Ripe fruit: red cherries, black berries, and blueberries. Best after being decanted. Typical Mendoza Malbec.

Vintage 2018 | from magnum | Easygoing wine, ideal for Friday evening diner with spareribs. I find the scores the wine gets a bit disappointing, it gives a lot of joy: cherries, even a bit frivolous in smell and taste. Frivolous is not a word I associate with Malbec. But it is.

I'm new to wines and this was my first attempt. It was a little sweet and tangy flavor. Nice experience though. Looking forward to trying different wines.
